Vehicle Listing Description
1986 Jeep CJ 7
You will not find another jeep available like this. In fact, I am reluctant to part with this as I have had it for over 10 years and just recently had it fully “restored”. This is the most capable CJ-7 you will find. By “restored” I mean professionally rebuilt from the ground up with new Wrangler TJ technology packed under a CJ body. The build was meticulous and took over 8 months of full time work to complete. It is only due to a changing family situation that I have agreed to sell this Jeep. I have attached pictures of the build for your viewing pleasure. Most of the high-end CJs you find on ebay are completely restored or have very low mileage on original parts. These Jeeps are pretty cool but what sets mine apart is all of the suspension (Rough Country 6" Long Arm Coil), frame (Throttle Down Kustomz Hybrid), etc are brand new. I have not seen another Jeep out there that can make that claim. This Jeep has all of the Suspension/Lift and Off-Road Technology of a TJ working underneath a classic CJ-7 body. The only original part is the steel body tub that has been sandblasted, lined and painted. The engine is 4.0L, fuel injected, straight six out of a ’98 Grand Cherokee (Ok, so this is not as new as the other parts but is significantly more up to date then the original 258). As you look through the parts list below you will see more than enough features that comprise the most capable and best looking Jeep available. I have all of the records from the recent build available should you want to see a comprehensive list of what was done to the Jeep. I cannot emphasize enough that this is truly a unique Jeep and you will not find another with this technology and capability available on ebay/autotrader/craigslist etc. This vehicle will turn heads and dominate any trails you throw at it. Please feel free to email me with any questions. Thanks, I look forward to hearing from you!
A few notes: I have soft doors and the back seat that will come with the Jeep (not pictured). Also, I listed the mileage at 60k though the odometer shows approximately 135k. This is because I replaced the original 258 with a 4.0L straight six out of a cherokee which had approximately 60k on the engine. The frame, wheels, tires, suspension, etc have only a few hundred local miles on the since the build.
This is the bulk of the build, there were other parts that were installed corresponding to the main work that was done listed below. I also have a ton of pictures documenting the build and am happy to email them , if you would like.
